How wonderful a time being or becoming a dad is. A new person in your life, new delights, hopes, sounds and smells, not to mention the lack of sleep, doubts and challenges.
For many this can be a time of great uncertainty, while for others it is something that they want to sing and shout from the roof tops about.
Fatherhood offers opportunities not just obstacles and our project aims to work with young dads in order for them to realise the opportunities while supporting them to overcome the obstacles.
We are looking to collect the views of dads and mums on what areas they feel they would like or would’ve liked information on regarding becoming a parent.
You can engage with the project to access as much or as little as you want based on your situation and preference including;
Activities and groups for dads and dads and their family – One to one support and advice – volunteering and personal development –Someone to share your worries or good news with – Home Safety advice – Information about other opportunities and services – Education, employment, training and financial support – and much more.
If you are a dad or have parenting responsibilities, are under the age of 25 and live in Monmouthshire, regardless of your personal situation, if you want to talk, share, listen or receive help then please contact us.
